About the Light Cafe Restaurant
Light Café Restaurant opened in the summer of 2010, the long awaited sister restaurant to the Light House. We offer attentive and friendly service in a relaxed and inviting environment.
We use only the freshest and best seasonal ingredients in our carefully prepared menus.
Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner from 8am Monday-Friday and 9am at the weekend.
Drop in for breakfast; enjoy a full english breakfast, yoghurt and granola, a simple croissant with homemade jam or just a cup of coffee to prepare you for the day ahead. Check out our weekday and weekend breakfast menus.
Lunch is served from 12pm daily; why not try something from our daily changing specials board or our delicious à la carte menu. Whether you fancy a light lunch, a simple salad or a substantial three course meal we have something for every one.
Come in and sample afternoon tea served from 3pm; cupcakes for the kids, something chocolaty for you, homemade cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream, all baked daily by our pastry chefs.
We serve dinner from 5pm, join us for an early family supper, a light bite or enjoy a lengthy candlelit dinner with a bottle of wine from our carefully chosen and extensive wine list.
We offer a seasonal children’s menu with something for all ages. All our menus are prepared using fresh ingredients with no added salt. Homemade ice creams, cupcakes and chocolate brownies are a few of our delicious puddings.

Exclusive Afternoon Tea Party
Between 3.30pm & 6pm Mon to Sat and 3.30pm & 5pm on Sundays with a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, homemade cakes, scones with clotted cream & jam served with your choice of tea or coffee.
Add a refreshing jug of lemonade or elderflower cordial, or treat yourselves with a glass of champagne with your afternoon tea.
